Naturopathic Menopause Care in Vaughan & Richmond Hill

Menopause is not a disease. But the way it can upend your energy, your sleep, your weight, your mood and your sense of self is very real. If you are in perimenopause or menopause and feel like your body has become a stranger, you are not imagining it, and you are not alone.
As a Naturopathic Doctor with over 20 years of clinical experience, I have guided hundreds of women through this transition. Not just managing symptoms, but helping them understand what is happening in their body and why, so they can feel in control again.

What Perimenopause and Menopause Actually Do to Your Body

The hormonal shifts of midlife go far beyond hot flashes. Estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, cortisol and insulin are deeply interconnected. When one changes, the ripple effects are felt everywhere.

Women I see in my Vaughan and Richmond Hill practice commonly experience:

  • Hot flashes and night sweats

  • Disrupted sleep and fatigue

  • Weight gain, particularly around the abdomen

  • Brain fog and difficulty concentrating

  • Mood changes, anxiety, and irritability

  • Low libido and vaginal dryness

  • Joint pain and changes in skin

  • Increased cardiovascular and blood sugar risk

These are not signs that something is wrong with you. They are signs that your body is adapting to a major hormonal shift and that it needs the right support to do so well.

A Naturopathic Approach to Menopause

Conventional medicine often frames menopause management as a binary choice: hormone replacement or suffering through it. Naturopathic medicine offers a third path, one that looks at the whole picture.

My approach begins with understanding your menopause. No two women experience this transition the same way, because no two women arrive at it with the same history, the same metabolic profile, or the same health foundation.

Using functional lab testing, including hormonal panels and comprehensive blood work, I identify exactly where your hormones stand and how they are interacting with your metabolism, thyroid, adrenals, and cardiovascular health. From there, we build a plan that may include:

  • Nutritional therapy tailored to your hormonal and metabolic profile (including Metabolic Balance coaching)

  • Botanical and nutraceutical support for symptom relief and long-term hormone balance

  • Lifestyle and stress protocols that address cortisol and sleep, two of the most underestimated factors in menopausal health

  • Functional testing to track progress and adjust as your body changes

What Working With Me Looks Like

- EMPOWER Program

My EMPOWER program is designed specifically for women navigating midlife hormonal changes. It is not a one-size-fits-all protocol. It is a structured, personalized partnership that gives you the testing, the guidance, and the accountability to make real, lasting change.

We work together at my Vaughan offices (Hooper's Pharmacy on Major Mackenzie Drive and the Centre for Health & Performance on Rutherford Road) or virtually if you are anywhere in Ontario.

Your first step is a free 10-minute Health Discovery Call where we talk about what you are experiencing and whether we are a good fit. There is no obligation and no sales pitch, just a conversation.

Serving Women Across Vaughan, Richmond Hill & Ontario

I see patients at two Vaughan locations and offer virtual naturopathic visits to women across Ontario. Whether you are in Maple, Woodbridge, Thornhill, King City, Aurora, Newmarket, or anywhere in between, you do not have to navigate menopause without expert support.

You Deserve to Feel Like Yourself Again

Menopause is a transition, not a destination. With the right support, many of my patients describe this chapter as one of the most empowered periods of their lives, clearer on what their body needs, more in tune with how to take care of it, and free from the symptoms that were holding them back. If you are ready to stop just getting through it and start actually thriving, I would love to talk.
